Supervisor for project roofing crew, equipment operator, new hires
Robbie Nein has worked for Blackhawk Roofing for twenty years, and is responsible for overseeing job site operations. His duties include hiring roofing installers and laborers, operating roofing equipment, roofing equipment maintenance, and reviewing laws and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
With his industry experience and training, Robbie also ensures that safety rules are always followed. He develops work schedules based on employee and supplier availability. He is responsible for:
- Delegating residential roofing and commercial roofing project responsibilities and tasks.
- Recruiting, hiring, training, managing, and mentoring employees.
- Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment. Providing training on safety gear, helmets, rigging, safety harnesses, and fall protection equipment.
- Reporting project status to the business owner, homeowners, and property managers.
Roofing estimates, roof inspections, expediting, business operations
With over thirty years of experience and roofing knowledge, owner Dan Schnell oversees the business operations of Blackhawk Roofing. He does all of our roof inspections and roofing estimates. He is also the project expediter for Blackhawk Roofing.
Over the years, Dan has maintained his status as a Certified Master Roofer. He continues to expand his industry knowledge by attending certification courses in roofing systems, products, and installation procedures. Dan encourages each employee to learn and grow in the roofing industry by offering incentives to expand their trade knowledge.
Dan owns a home in West Springfield and enjoys spending time with his kids, Labrador retrievers, and several other pets. He is active in youth hockey and a regular Boot Camp participant at FitClub West.
