OSHA Compliance

Safety has always been our number one priority. We are fully committed to providing our roof installers and our clients with a safe work environment. We utilize intense planning, effective communication and continual hands-on training to meet this commitment.

Our employees know that even one accident is one too many. By learning to make the correct safety decisions, and understanding that every employee has the right and responsibility to stop any unsafe operation — Blackhawk employees are empowered to work toward a common goal of zero workplace incidents.

We begin every roofing project by determining what safety concerns exist, identifying steps that can be taken to address those concerns, and evaluating how our employees can work together to maintain a safe workplace. We follow strict compliance with company policies and industry regulations, including:

  • Daily communication on all roofing project sites to discuss hazards and safety protocol.
  • Hard hats, safety vests and other protective equipment worn on all roofing projects which require safety equipment.
  • All Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations are followed.
  • New employees are mentored by seasoned roof installers.
  • We view our employees as our greatest asset. We work hard every day to ensure our people return home safe each night.

Construction and home repair are essential services during a National Emergency or National Disaster. Home builders and home repair companies will continue to offer their services to homeowners and building owners.

During this emergency, Blackhawk Roofing is following all United States Department of Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Center for Disease Control (CDC), State of Illinois and local safety guidelines.

We are prepared for any roofing challenge. We know the news around coronavirus has been developing rapidly and, frankly, can be terrifying and harrowing. Thank you for placing your trust in us. Below, we've provided some additional information for you:

  • Our installers are following social distancing guidelines.
  • We limit project teams to no more than 10 installers.
  • We limit face-to-face meetings with homeowners and building owners.
  • FaceTime will be used whenever requested.

We would like to thank our healthcare providers in our community for their diligence. Our prayers go out to all healthcare workers wherever you are -- doctors, nurses, technicians, first responders and emergency services personnel . You are showing up day after day, in spite of challenging circumstances. You have our complete trust.
